Artist Statement

My art making provides pathways to self-exploration and facilitates with better awareness of surroundings. I use art as a non-verbal language to transcribe my feelings, intuition, emotions, and ideas into physical objects. Many of my art pieces are autobiographical allowing me to share a personal story. I let my heart and subconscious guide the processes of self-discovery. With my art I am hoping to engage my audience to embark on a journey of self-exploration while embracing each individual’s personal experience. As an artist my utmost and perpetual goal is to battle for freedom of self and creative expression.

I am a multimedia artist. In the process of art making I like to utilize and experiment with various drawing and painting media, such as pencil, oil, tempera, gouache, watercolor, acrylic, ink, marker, airbrush, charcoal, wool, clay, and other materials. My work includes observations of human figures, studies of psychological traits, and allegorical subjects. I am also fond of observational painting, nature, landscapes, animals, and architecture. Additionally I have an experience in collage, sculpting, and tapestry.
