Opposing Cartography VII

$8,200.00

This piece is the very last available of my “Opposing Cartographies” series of ten paintings that draws upon both the inner and outer hemispheres and how there are so many unknowns both on the earth and beyond. I bears new significance now as we face so many oppositions and unknowns in our world. The Opposing Cartography series marks a significant shift that led in a new direction for my work. Paradoxically, I began developing ways of using molten wax to depict melting ice in response to the growing climate crisis.

YEAR: 2013
